Privacy Policy

Information we collect

We collect information you provide or authorize Redline to receive, including:

• Account details such as your name, email address, profile image, and sign-in provider.
• Resumes, cover letters, job descriptions, application names, edits, and design choices.
• Images and other media that you choose to include in a resume.
• Subscription and transaction status from Stripe. Redline does not store full payment-card details.
• Usage, quota, error, device, and basic request information needed to operate and secure the service.
• Activity analytics such as pages visited, feature actions, last activity, browser timezone, approximate country when available, and AI request counts and token usage. Signed-in activity is associated with your account. Analytics does not record typed text, resume or email content, passwords, or AI prompts and responses.
• Gmail account identity and authorization details if you separately choose to connect Gmail.

How we use information

We use this information to:

• Authenticate you and keep your documents associated with the correct account.
• Parse, edit, score, save, export, and generate content for resumes and cover letters.
• Compare your resume with job descriptions and provide requested AI-assisted suggestions.
• Provide subscriptions, enforce plan limits, prevent abuse, troubleshoot failures, and improve reliability.
• Support optional integrations that you affirmatively connect.

Redline does not sell your resume or personal information. We do not use your private documents for advertising.

Google and Gmail data

Connecting Gmail is optional and separate from signing in to Redline. Redline requests read-only access and cannot send, modify, or delete your email. The current connection lets Redline inspect recent and new messages for job-application confirmations, interviews, assessments, offers, and rejections. Redline stores the matched status, sender, subject, date, and confidence—not the email body—and stores encrypted authorization needed for this feature. You can disconnect Gmail from Settings at any time.

Redline's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Service providers and disclosure

Redline uses service providers only as needed to run the service. These may include Firebase and Google Cloud for authentication, databases, storage, and hosting; Stripe for billing; and the configured AI provider for content you explicitly submit for parsing, analysis, rewriting, or generation. Their handling of information is governed by their agreements and privacy terms.

We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect users or the service, or as part of a business transaction where legally permitted. We do not give Google user data to advertising platforms or data brokers.

Storage, security, and retention

Redline uses access controls and reasonable technical safeguards. Gmail refresh tokens are encrypted before storage. No online service can guarantee absolute security, so keep your account credentials and devices protected.

We retain account information and documents while your account is active or as needed to provide the service. Deleting an application removes its saved document and triggers cleanup of media no longer referenced by another resume. Deleting your account removes user documents and uploaded media from Redline's active systems, subject to limited legal, security, and backup retention.

Your choices and rights

You can edit or delete applications, disconnect Gmail, cancel a subscription, sign out, or delete your Redline account through the service. Depending on where you live, you may also have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or receive a copy of personal data, and to appeal or complain to a data-protection authority.

Children and international use

Redline is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. Information may be processed in the United States and other places where Redline's providers operate, subject to applicable safeguards.

Changes and contact

We may update this policy as the service changes. The effective date above identifies the latest version. Material changes will be communicated when required.
